NTAP & Link Up
HunTel participates in two low-income assistance programs for telephone service: The Nebraska Telephone Assistance Program (NTAP) and Link Up. Customers who participate in one of the following programs may qualify: Medicaid, Food Stamps, Supplemental Security Income (SSI), Federal Housing Assistance or Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program. Applications are available by contacting the Nebraska Public Service Commission at
1-800-526-0017. An application form is also available on-line.

NTAP provides eligible customers with a credit each month for basic telephone service. The credit applies on the main home telephone line listed in the name of the eligible telephone customer.

Link Up provides eligible customers with reduced connection charges for basic telephone service. This reduction is 50 percent of applicable charges or $30, whichever is less. Link Up also provides for interest-free, deferred payment of connection charges.
