What is digital cable?

Digital cable is a type of cable television that uses digital signals instead of analog. Because it uses digital signals it has many advantages over the older analog cable tv.

What are the advantages of digital cable vs. analog?

Digital cable has many advantages over analog cable. Because the signal is digital, the picture quality is dramatically improved. The sound quality is also greatly improved. Besides having better audio and video quality, you get access to more High Definition (HD) channels.

What are the differences between digital cable and analog?

Digital cable uses a digital signal, allowing for more data (channels, music, movies, etc.) to be sent across our network to your home.  The Digital Receiver formats the digital signal so that you may view it on your television.

What does that mean for me?

As part of the digital conversion process, any channels above the ABB Basic tier will only be viewable with a digital receiver. This will not affect any TVs you currently have connected to a digital receiver (including DVRs).

For ABB 60+ and ABB 150+ customers who wish to view their channels on additional TVs,

you can add an additional digital receiver for $2.99 per box per month!
